Blood: Half
Age: 16
Year: 6th
House: Ravenclaw
Pet: An loving gray kitten by the name of Dusty
Wand: Willow, 14 inches, unicorn hair core
Physical Description: The first thing you would notice about Jasmine are her eyes. They’re a beautiful shade of hazel filled with trust, strength, and kindness. Though, when she gets angry it’s almost as if a storm was passing over a peaceful city losing its sweet and innocence. Her face is slightly oval shaped with small pink lips that when curled up into a smile, dimples form on the side. Jasmine’s hair is a dark brown color and cascades past her shoulders in silk waves. Her hair is normally seen down or maybe up in a different style. She stands 5’6” tall and 115 pounds, normal height and weight for someone her age. Jasmine’s body is athletic which comes from playing a lot of Quidditch and jogging just to keep her legs strong for horseback riding. Her style of clothing is normally always casual, nothing too revealing or out there.
Personality: Jasmine is a quiet and laidback kind of person who has a very friendly nature. There are some days when she feels like being alone, staying in the dorm room reading or just taking a walk alone around the grounds. Some other days she feels the need to be a bit more social and hangs out with her close friends or maybe even talking to anyone who seems friendly. She’s quite an intelligent girl who strives to always do her best in classes, which are two qualities that almost define anyone who’s in the Ravenclaw house. Jasmine just likes to learn new things and doesn’t mind helping anyone in any years below her. Though, Jasmine does seem to be an overall pretty good person, she does have some flaws. She’s quite self conscious about herself never wearing anything that shows too much skin or even just singing in front of others. Jasmine’s also very sensitive and almost any kind of rude remark or bad experience can really hurt her.
Biography: Jasmine was born in the afternoon of March 5, 1990 to Natalie and Ian Anderson. Her father came from a pureblood wizarding family, while her mother came from a muggle-born family. The two met at Hogwarts and were friends ever since their first year, both in the Ravenclaw house, and were even best friends. Ian always called Natalie Nat or even Natty. All through their magical education, her parents never brought their relationship to the next level. Her parents only wanted to be best friends because everything might feel awkward if they were boyfriend girlfriend. When Hogwarts years flew by, Ian worked in the Ministry while Natalie was a healer. One day when fate brought the both of them back to London, Natalie was crossing the cross walk, in a hurry to get to her cooking class on time while Ian was just out taking a walk. Ian was going one way and Natalie was going the other and both collided into each other. At first they didn’t notice each other, only apologizing and went on their way. They both had walked off the cross walk but stopped as it finally came to them. At the same time Ian and Natalie both turned around and smiled.
Growing up as a toddler Ian and Natalie felt that she deserved to be brought up in both the magical world and muggle. She went to Quidditch games with her father and the horse barns that her mother rode at. Jasmine had a very happy life until she turned six. It was her parent’s anniversary night and they would always do something special. Natalie had decided to take her husband to a well-known, romantic muggle restaurant. Her parents dropped Jasmine off at her Aunts house and gave her hugs and kisses as always before leaving. Natalie and Ian had just finished dinner and were heading back to pick their daughter up. Just as they turned the corner out of a street a truck smashed into the left side of the car with such force that the car flipped over and landed on the roof. The two passengers in the vehicle were killed instantly before the paramedics would arrive. Jasmine had been asleep on the couch with her cousin Chad. The TV was still on but the lights were off. In the morning she woke to the sound of her aunt’s gentle voice and warm arms around her. Jasmine’s parents were dead….never to be seen again.
Lana Parker was the older sister of Jasmine’s mother. She was hospital administer at a local hospital and also loved to go horseback riding. Jasmine’s aunt was married before her mother, but her husband soon passed away after the birth of her only son Chad. After the loss of her husband, Land never dated another man and dedicated her life to raising her only son. Chad was more like a brother. He was overprotective of Jasmine and was always there for her. Jasmine continued with her new life. She had never gotten over her parents death, but learned to cope with it. She went to a muggle school and did ordinary things such as piano lesson, writing music and song lyrics, and hanging out with friends. It had been a couple years after her parent’s death when Lana took Jasmine to the horse barns again. Natalie loved horses and even owned a horse of her own, which was soon passed down to Jasmine. Upon seeing the beautiful 16.h, Quarter Horse, named Jasper Jasmine fell in love instantly with the gentle horse. She began to take lesson and even entered in some shows. Horses made Jasmine happy again, and now that she had a piece of her mother with her, she didn’t feel so lonely.
Everything was getting back on track for Jasmine. She was starting to live a happy life again until one day something strange happened. One night Jasmine had a piano lesson with her teacher, Mrs. Newbery. Jasmine hadn’t practiced in a very long time and the whole lesson was going wrong. She was frustrated with herself and to top if off her teacher was yelling at her. Finally she couldn’t take it anymore. All her emotions boiled over and before she knew it the pieces of music on the piano caught on fire. Jasmine stood on the wooden stool in disbelief as Mrs. Newbery put out the fire. How on earth did that ever happen? Ever since that night, Jasmine never went to that house again and just practiced at home. When Jasmine had turned eleven a letter had arrived for it. It clearly stated that she was witch and was accepted into Hogwarts. She remembered her parents talking about the school and how they hoped they would watch her grow in her magical abilities. Everything that she had shut behind her after her parent’s death came back, the magical memories, everything.
Now going to Hogwarts for five years Jasmine has been put into the Ravenclaw house just like her father had been. She was a shy little girl and never spoke to anybody and rarely made friends. So to keep her busy Jasmine would study, read, and make sure that her homework was absolutely prefect. Her grades were excellent and she was starting to get the hang of being a witch. Whenever the Ravenclaw house team played, she went to watch and cheered. Determined to try out for the team in her fourth year she had made it as chaser. She had eve been recently appointed Quidditch captain and took over the position as seeker. As the school years went by Jasmine than made more friendships that had helped her to become more social. Her favorite courses are Potions, charms, and Arithmancy. Now entering her sixth year at Hogwarts Jasmine has changed. She isn’t that shy little girl anymore, but more mature and down to earth. For her sixth year, she is determined to make new friends and just get through the year as best as she can.
