Name: Emma Louise Harold
Age: 16
Year: 6th
House: Gryffiindor
Blood: Muggleborn
Pet: None
Wand: 8 3/4", Ebony, Phoenix feather.
Physical Description: Emma has honey blonde hair that reaches her chin and frames her round face. Her eyes are a dark blue and are usually bright with happiness. Emma almost always has a smile on her face and when she does it's big and beautiful. Emma is about 5'6" and weighs normal weight for a girl her age. Her style is casual and laid back and is something that always reflects her mood. If she is wearing bright colours, she's rather happy and is enjoying her day. If she is wearing a dull colour, Emma would rather be fast asleep in her room. She likes to dress up, and looks sophisticated in many dresses and elegant in ballroom attire. Being the daughter of a ambassador, she has to know when to look like a sixteen year old and when to look like just that.. a daughter of an ambassador.
Personality Description: She is a really happy girl who likes to live each day as if it will be her last. When she's happy, everyone can tell and she perks up anyone's mood if they are down. Her smile is contagious, as is her laughter, and she is known for being optimistic about practically everything. She is an intelligent girl and has never had trouble with understanding classes, even Potions which seemed to be every Gryffindors worst class. Her favourite subjects include Charms and Divination and she loves Muggle Studies, especially since she likes to contribute with the lesson. Every positive does have a negative, however, and Emma does have a negative side. When she is sad it is very noticable and she remains sad for days, weeks even. Her anger is quick but she never speaks out about it, instead she'll let it eat at her until she can't hold it in any longer.
History: Born in Spain to Neveah and Ralph Harold, a couple visiting the beautiful country, Emma was exposed the Spanish culture from the moment she was out of the womb. She wasn't there long, after Neveah was able to return to England, Emma was back to her home where she was waited on hand and foot. Her father was an important ambassador, so they lived a wealthy life. Whatever Emma wanted, she received and without question. She wasn't a spoiled brat, however, it was quite the contrary. Emma did her best to please her parents, and please them she did. She went beyond their expectations for her and often bragged about her to their colleauges and friends. Emma didn't mind the attention, but often she wished she had a normal life as a normal kid. But she knew there was nothing normal about her father being an ambassador, she knew this even at the age of 6.
At 6 she was attending ballroom parties where she had to dress in a ballgown and be the perfect lady. She didn't need ettiquette lesons, she just watched her mother - her idol. Her mother was everything Emma wanted to be. She was gorgeous and gentle, someone a lot of men wanted and a lot of women envied. Her mother remained faithful to her father, though, and Emma thought that took a lot of strength - especially when her father seemed to be in a horrible mood after a weeks work at whatever he did when he wasn't home. She was happy, and that made Emma happy. her happy world seemed to fall apart when Emma turned 8. Her parents were in a fatal car accident and Emma had been at a friends house. Her father survived, but was paralyzed from the waist down, and her mother had died on impact. Emma knew what that meant, and soon she felt her world crashing around her.
Emma played the dutiful daughter after her mother's funeral. She helped her grandmother organize a ramp to be placed on the side of the front porch for her dad to be able to wheel up and installed a chair lift over the grand staircase that led to his bedroom on the second story. Her father had dipped into a deep depression and it put everyone in the house into a dire mood. Emma no longer laughed freely, it reminded her too much of her mother. She just wished happiness would float back into their lives and lift the cloud of dread away from their heads. It did, by the name of Marisol. Marisol was a friend of Neveah's from Spain, and was in town on business. She had dropped by to say hello to Neveah and found that she was no longer living. Marisol brought the smile back to Ralph's face but put a scowl on Emma's. A year later, when Emma was 10, the two got married.
She tried her hardest to hate Marisol, but it was so hard with how much the woman she now considered Step-Mother would try to make her and her father happy. Near the end of the year, Emma finally accepted Marisol and they became good friends. Emma was able to smile and laugh once again, the memory of her mother still lived and burned inside of her, though. On Emma's 11th birthday, she received an owl saying she had been accepted into Hogwarts. After much discussion, the decision was she was allowed to attend. And she did. That year she was sorted into Gryffindor. Emma breezed through school and somehow found herself in her 6th year. On her 16th birthday, she heard that Marisol was pregnant. Now she had to make sure life was perfect for the upcoming baby. A fairy-tale like hers had been.
